About Red Penn

Running a digital content operation without a strategy is like baking without measuring cups. You’ll end up with a cake, but it probably won’t rise.

That’s where Red Penn comes in.

We help digital brands scale new content verticals and turn confusing data into clear strategy. We’ll transform disorganized content assignment systems into efficient workflows. We’ll even take a look at your site and tell you where there are missing conversion opportunities.

Think of us as the friend who will lovingly tell you that there’s spinach in your teeth, then (lovingly) hand you a napkin and a compact mirror.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Kayla Schorr Gorkin is a content strategy expert with over 10 years of experience in full-funnel content strategy, SEO, and customer acquisition.

She began her editorial journey with The Tour Guy, an e-commerce tourism company. There, she grew organic content strategy to accrue $2M+ in annual organic revenue, which totaled a 300% increase over the 18 months she spent there.

In 2019, she began as an SEO Coordinator for The Motley Fool’s real estate subsidiary, Millionacres. Over the years, Kayla eventually grew to lead The Motley Fool’s Editorial team, where she managed an $8 million annual content budget and yielded a 300% content ROI. Her team primarily focused on customer acquisition through organic rankings, and syndication placements through distribution partnerships.

Kayla specializes in managing editorial strategy for complex topics that need simplification for a broader audience — and finance and investing is her bread and butter. She’s passionate about using data analysis to guide content strategy, leading high-growth teams, and helping those around her to do their best work.

Away from her desk, Kayla enjoys chewing her way through the Philadelphia food scene (ask her about her hierarchy of Italian restaurants), beach-ing in Margate, NJ, reading historical fiction, and traveling the world. She resides in Northern Liberties with her husband, Connor, and has probably asked to pet your dog.
